Q- What is the registration fee?

A- $2,300 USD

Q-What does the registration fee include?

A: The fee includes the following:

  1. Transportations from and to the airport

  2. Room & board

  3. All meals

  4. Two separate one day out of town trips (transportation and meals)

  5. Local outings

Q- What is the location of the host house?

A- 9 Rue Houara, Rabat, Morocco

Q- How do I get in contact with my host?

Q- What should I tell the Moroccan Immigration when asked of my place of residence while in Morocco?

A- The answer should be: We are a guest of the Alami family. Their residence is located at 9 Rue Houara, Rabat, Morocco.

Q-What are the nearest international airports?

A: There are two international airports that you can fly into:

  1. Casablanca Airport (CMN)- This airport is about 60 miles from the house. You can fly direct from New York JFK, Miami or Dulles airports on Royal Air Maroc (RAM)- Flights normally leave the US in the evenings and land in Casablanca the next morning. You can earn miles if you book your flight through American as they have a code share with RAM.

  2. Rabat/Sale Airport (RBA)- This airport is about 10 miles from the house. It does not offer direct flights from the US. This is a 2- leg flight with a layover in Europe- The most common route is via Air France, through Paris Charles De Gaulle.

Q: What kind of services will be provided once at the house?

A: Many services will be provided to ensure your comfort:

  1. Essential housekeeping

  2. Access to laundry facility

  3. In-house cook preparing home-made wholesome meals

  4. Access to a beautiful outdoor space/garden

  5. A formal farewell dinner on September 14th with Mama Ghita's Children, grand children and great grand children.

Q: Does Morocco require a visitor's visa for US Citizens?

A: Visas are not required for visits lasting less than 90 days. Travelers must, however have a valid passport with at least six month of validity at time of entry and one blank page for entry stamp.

Q: What kind of sleeping arrangements does the host house offer?

A:  Some rooms have two single beds and some rooms have three single beds. There is one full bathroom for 4 or 5 guests and an additional half bath in the main house where classes will be held.

Q: Is the house equipped with first aid kit?

A: Yes.

Q: Are the rooms equipped with HVAC?

A: Although the weather in Morocco is mild in September, the rooms will be equipped with either floor fans or air conditioning. 

Q: Do you offer special meals for guests with dietary restrictions?

A: Yes. We can accommodate requests for special meals. Please let us know in writing what your special dietary needs are by August 10th. 

Q: What kind of dishes will be offered?

A: We will be serving nutritious traditional Moroccan cuisine characterized by organic vegetables, legumes and organic beef, lamb, fish and chicken. All halal. 

Q: How long will the registration be open for?

A: The deadline for registration is August 1st or until we reach full capacity of 10 guests. Whichever comes first.

Q: Do you require full payment upfront?

A: The schedule of payment is as follows:

We require $750 advance deposit to hold your spot. The remaining balance will be due on August 15.

Q: What is the cancellation policy?

A:  * Full refund for cancellation requests submitted prior to August 15.

     * No refunds for cancelling within 22 days of the start of the start date of the retreat.

Q: Are there any required books or materials for the class sessions?

A: Anyone who registers for the zawiyah retreat program should come with this book published by Amina Al-Jamal.
