The wazifa will be the focus and foundation of our time together in Morocco. It is both a sublime invocation of the reality of the Prophet Muhammad (SAWS) as well as guidance for all travelers who aspire to have arrival with the Beloved. Shayk Sidi Muhammad’s splendid interpretation (tafsir) of this holy litany will guide and inform our time together.
 
“The virtue of the wazifa upon our exalted beloved (Muhammad)
has no limits and the nobility of its blessings is great.”

There is so much here that we might dive into. All depends on the needs of our group and the guidance we receive. Most generally, we seek to know the deeper truths of our existence.
 
“Unveil to me the mercy which is the
Muhammadan reality upon which everything is built.”

During our time together, we have the opportunity to learn how to travel through the four worlds of existence, how the Prophet’s journey mirrors our own, and how he is the mediator for our own personal ascent to the worlds of unity.
 
“Through Muhammad the door to the secrets was opened.”
 
There are so many hidden meanings within this litany for us to explore: the meaning of Kun; the morass of metaphorical unity, the realities of fana & baqa; the four pillars of the First, the Last, the Manifest and the Hidden. It is essential that we receive this knowledge through the heart, and not just the intellect.
 
“The secret is that which is known by the heart.”
 
Sidi Muhammad never tired of reminding us that the “secret is in the love” and that the wazifa is a unique vehicle for opening our hearts to deeper and deeper love of Allah and His Prophet.
 
“Springs of wisdom and knowledge gush forth
from the heart of any person connected to this noble line.”
